Frequently Asked Questions

🤔 Why can't I use a custom app anymore?

Starting in 2026, Shopify requires all new integrations to use the Development App flow with OAuth authentication. This provides better security, reliability, and reduces configuration errors. It's still a straightforward, no-code process.

🤔 I don't have a Shopify store

EUCheckout requires an active Shopify store with a valid .myshopify domain. If you don't have a Shopify account, you'll need to create one first. Development mode stores won't work.

🤔 What about data privacy and permissions?

We only request the minimum permissions needed to provide our service. All data is encrypted and secure. If you disconnect EUCheckout, your data will be promptly removed from our databases upon confirmation. Our system will prevent connection if you accidentally grant more permissions than required.
